Vivienne Star Maxi Skirt in Black
The Vivienne skirt is a homage to Rita Hayworth dancing in the film Gilda. I was inspired to make a skirt that swirled in the same way. Why is it called Vivienne? I had a market stall in Clapham and Vivienne Westwood whilst browsing my stall said "If I were to wear any of your designs I would wear this skirt, I absolutely love it. But I have too many clothes so I mustn't!" The Rita was then renamed the Vivienne. The Vivienne Skirt has an elasticated waist and is fully lined. It's a complicated piece to make as it has four tiers and has the right sizing of each tier to be able to have the perfect swing.
The Vivienne skirt is available in 'Ready to Wear' in one size fits all (UK 8-14) or we are able to make this bespoke to your exact measurements. For custom-made items, there will be an additional cost of £30.
For custom orders, include the following in order notes at checkout:
- Please specify your choice of fabric
- UK size (or equivalent)
- Measurements: bust, waist, hips, inside leg & length requirement i.e. midi, maxi or to the knee
